The appointee will be a full faculty member, and as such will be expected to innovate in both research and teaching, to assist in the administration and mission of the Department, and to contribute to the wider research community. The appointed candidate will have a strong commitment to research-led undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and a demonstrated capacity/potential to attract research funding and develop a world-class research programme.
The appointee will be expected to build a strong research profile, that will enhance the research strengths in the Department, and which supports the University’s research strategy including affiliating to the Research Institutes, where appropriate and working with colleagues on national and international research. The appointee will be expected to sustain and conduct research, engage in scholarship of quality and substance and generate publications of international standard.
Salary:
Assistant Professor / Lecturer:€66,055 – €104,600 p.a. (7 points)
Assistant Lecturer: €43,025 - €73,445 (14 points)
Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.

- A teaching statement document summarising teaching experience and approach. This should also include any experience of science communications (e.g. tutorials, seminars, demonstrations, public engagement, etc) – max 2 pages.
