The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the BSW and/or MSW programs, both on site, in Halifax, and online by distance delivery to students across Canada and engage in relevant research activities and community scholarship, including contributing to ‘Health Equity and Resilience’, one of three research focus areas in the Faculty of Health. The incumbent in this position must be able to teach a variety of social work courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level, including our new Disability Justice course as part of our new BSW curriculum.

Either a BSW or MSW is required, preference will be given to candidates with a PhD in social work or related field (would consider candidates close to completing their PhD by time of appointment), as well as demonstrated excellence or potential in teaching, research, and on-line delivery. Preference will be given to candidates with social work practice, research experience, and a critical clinical perspective. Applicants must be eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers (NSCSW).
