A further extension up to a total contract duration of 4 years is possible if the employee’s performance meets all requirements Your future tasks: You actively participate in research as well as teaching which means: Accomplishment of research projects in the area of bio(in)organic chemistry mainly focused on the synthesis of tumor-inhibiting compounds and analytical investigations in biological relevant media The synthetic research work will take place in close coordination with experts in molecular biology and cell biology in order to enable the optimal design of the potential cancer therapeutics. You will be expected to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months. You will be actively involved in research, teaching and administration. You will participate in publications, academic articles, presentations. You will take part in teaching duties to the extent specified in the collective agreement. You will supervise bachelor and master students and carry out administrative tasks in teaching or research. This is part of your personality: You have an MSc degree in chemistry preferably in organic or inorganic chemistry, especially the synthesis and characterisation of metal complexes. Experience in the field of NMR-spectroscopy, analytical HPLC(-MS) as well as preparative HPLC is required. Basic experience in research methods and academic writing. Attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in academic teaching is desirable.
