Job Description
We have an opening for a Research Fellow (Transportation) in areas related to traffic operations, traffic control, simulation, and connected and automated vehicles (CAVs). Specifically, we expect the selected candidate to lead and pursue high-quality research on intelligent transportation systems, including but not limited to:
- Traffic flow theory,
- Traffic control in urban and highway contexts,
- Vehicle dynamics and control,
- Machine learning and AI, and
- Data privacy and security.
In addition to research, the selected candidate is expected to help draft research proposals and supervise graduate and undergraduate students.
Job Requirements
- Possess a Doctoral degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other closely related fields.
- Research experience in Intelligent Transportation Systems with excellent publication record.
- Good programming and analytical skills.
- Expertise in control theory, optimization, game theory, and AI is highly preferable.
- Good technical proposal writing and presentation skills.
- Able to plan and organize well and adhere to the deadline.
- Able to perform research in a multidisciplinary team.
- Open to fixed-term contract.
