Position Summary
The Louise McBee Institute of Higher Education at the University of Georgia invites applications from senior higher education scholars to fill the Louise McBee Distinguished Professorship in Higher Education with a starting date of August 1, 2026.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach core graduate-level courses, advise and mentor doctoral students, pursue an active program of funded research, publish impactful scholarship, and participate in the ongoing academic and governance activities of the McBee Institute.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates should have a doctoral degree in higher education or an equivalent terminal degree in a complementary field (e.g., economics, law, management, political science, public policy, sociology).
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification
Candidates should bring a distinguished record in instruction, scholarly research, and extramural funding focused on the study of higher education. We encourage applications from scholars with expertise in quantitative, qualitative, and/or mixed methods approaches.
