Christ the Redeemer College (CRC), London, invites applications for the position of Lecturer in Theology. We are seeking an inspiring educator with a commitment to academic excellence, theological scholarship and student success.
Applications are welcomed from candidates with expertise in areas such as Biblical Studies, Practical Theology, Church History, Ethics, Mission Studies, Pastoral fTheology etc.
The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, assessment, curriculum enhancement and scholarly activity while supporting students within a faith-based higher education environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Assess student work and provide effective feedback.
- Provide academic guidance and pastoral support.
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance activities.
- Participate in student recruitment and engagement initiatives.
- Undertake scholarly activity and professional development.
- Support the mission and values of the College.
Essential Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Theology, Religious Studies or a related discipline.
- Experience of teaching in Higher Education, Further Education or professional education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in student assessment and support.
- Commitment to academic excellence and student development.
Desirable Requirements
- Fellowship of Advance HE or recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching BA, MA and/or BTEC programmes.
- Research, ministry, consultancy or professional practice experience.
- Experience in curriculum development or academic leadership.
