As Head of School, you will build on the School’s excellent reputation and play a pivotal role in delivering the ambitions of the University's BU2035 Strategy. Reporting to the PVC Dean of the Faculty and supported by four Associate Heads of School, you will provide visionary academic leadership and strategic direction, ensuring excellence across education, research, innovation, employability and industry engagement.
You will:
- Lead the development and delivery of the School’s vision and strategy, aligned to University and Faculty priorities.
- Provide strong academic, operational and financial leadership, managing people, resources and performance.
- Drive excellence in learning, teaching, student experience and graduate outcomes.
- Enhance research quality, outputs, impact and income generation.
- Strengthen and expand partnerships with industry, professional bodies and external stakeholders.
- Foster innovation through technology-enhanced learning and future-focused curriculum development.
- Lead educational and employability initiatives that create experiential, immersive and student-centred learning opportunities.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, talent development, succession planning and high performance.
As a member of the University Leadership Team, you will help shape the future direction of the Faculty and University while contributing to education, research and professional practice activity.
About You
You will hold a Doctorate (or equivalent professional standing) in a relevant discipline and demonstrate:
