Description of Work
The position is expected to enhance quality, visibility, and stature of the School and the University. The Endowed Professor in Economics is expected to make significant contributions towards maintenance of the School of Business and Economics’ AACSB accreditation and the achievement of the proposed MBA program.
Competencies/Knowledge Skills, and Abilities Required in this Position
Doctorate degree in Economics from an accredited institution of higher education with an established record of research, teaching and service. Must be academically qualified in Economics by AACSB Standards. Demonstrate leadership in the development on interdisciplinary collaboration. History of effective teaching of diverse and nontraditional students.
Minimum Training and Experience
A Doctorate degree is required in Business Administration or related areas. May hire at the lower rank of Distinguished Scholar based on review of credentials. The individual selected for the Distinguished Professorship will be a published scholar in business and administration. His/her presence on the faculty will provide intellectual depth while further strengthening the quality of teaching in the fulfillment of the university’s mission of excellence in research and scholarly activities.
