Recruitment Range: $36,946 - $40,500 The salary range advertised is the designated recruitment range for this classification. Final salary offers will be determined by the candidate’s education, relevant experience, internal equity alignment, and departmental budgetary parameters.

Virgo Preparatory Academy is a year round school which supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of students in kindergarten through eighth grades. Our model creates kinship networks, extended family units that support student growth and development. Our learning community is personalized, inquiry-based, experiential, and reflective.
Brief Summary of Work for this Position: The DCVPA Instructional Assistant assists the teacher by monitoring and assisting students in the classroom and during other activities to ensure the provision of quality instruction in a safe environment.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalency. Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Associates degree or 48 semester hours college level coursework.
- Youth Mental Health First Aid Training.
- CPI Training.
- First Aid and CPR Certification.
