Crawford School of Public Policy is Australia’s leading public policy school, with recognised world-class expertise and experience in national security, economics, political science, environmental management and development, and on key Indo-Pacific and Asia-Pacific countries, especially China, Japan, Korea, India, Vietnam and Indonesia, as well as Australia.
The ANU National Security College (NSC) is a joint venture between the ANU and the Australian Government and sits within Crawford School of Public Policy, CLGP. The NSC conducts programs relating to national security policy including executive and professional development courses, policy engagement, postgraduate education and research.
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists to join the National Security College. The NSC has a Course and Event Administrator role available which will assist across the college, including with the Futures team and the Communications, Marketing & Events team. The NSC hosts more than 70 courses and events a year, ranging from 1 day to 20 days, on topics as diverse as cyber security; gender peace and security; geo-economics; intelligence and policy and national security foundations. Course and Event Administrators is integral to the success of the NSC, working closely with Course Coordinators and Program Directors on course design, delivery, event organisation, and providing high level administrative oversight and corporate support.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in course, event, or similar, administration, together with project management skills and an understanding of executive or professional development administration within a higher education setting. To excel in this fast-paced role you will need high level communication and interpersonal skills; a strong client service focus; great organisation skills and an eye for detail, along with the capacity to problem solve, think on the run and meet deadlines.
You will be expected to be able to work as a member of a team and you will need to be able to develop and maintain trusted networks across the Australian Public Service, within the NSC and with the broader ANU community.
