The successful applicant will contribute to the instructional, advising, and student development missions of the School through innovative teaching, undergraduate advising, and professional preparation of students pursuing careers in poultry and animal agriculture.
Primary responsibilities include: teaching undergraduate courses in poultry science, animal sciences, and professional development; advising and mentoring undergraduate students within the School of Animal Sciences; expanding experiential learning opportunities including internships, industry engagement, undergraduate research, student organizations, and applied learning experiences; collaborating with faculty, staff, and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Academic Programs Office to support student recruitment, retention, and success; contributing to scholarly and educational initiatives within the School, College, and University; and maintaining strong connections with the poultry and allied industries to ensure educational programs remain relevant, contemporary, and responsive to workforce needs. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to a student-centered learning environment that promotes academic excellence, leadership development, communication skills, and career readiness.
