What you will be doing

• Prepares the testing packages for exam sessions and verifies that all packages are complete
• Maintains the security of child care competency exams at all times
• Provides guidance and oversees child care personnel to ensure the exam process is carried out
• Ensures that there are always sufficient exam sessions made available to meet the community needs
• Provides training to proctors responsible for administering the child care exams
• Ensures that the procedures outlined in the “Child Care Exam Administration Guide” are being followed at all times by the testing sites
• Works closely with Miami Dade Public School personnel and the testing directors in setting up exam calendars
• Keeps track of child care exam booklets that are created and destroyed by the department
• Maintains the necessary records of all exams administered for a period of six years
• Performs other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of related experience; or Associate’s degree and seven (7) years of related experience
• All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and polices and procedures
• Possess excellent organizational skills and have attention to detail
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and other applicable computer programs
• Ability to oversee and train employees to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
• Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish and English (verbal and written)
• Knowledge and understanding of training and educational principles
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
