The successful candidate must hold an MD degree; have or be eligible for certification in Cardiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and have or be eligible for licensure to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Completion of formal training in Cardiac Critical Care is mandatory.

The successful applicant will join the Division of Cardiology which is one of the largest divisions within the Department of Medicine with 22 full-time and 27 part-time and community cardiologists. As a major provider of tertiary and quaternary cardiac services and leader in less invasive structural heart interventions, the Division of Cardiology serves as a regional cardiac referral centre for many complex cardiac procedures.

Estimated remuneration will be $250,000–$300,000, commensurate with academic rank, qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be eligible for membership in the Sunnybrook Department of Medicine Association through which clinical billings and benefits will be administered. The candidate will be able to participate in the department’s group medical, dental and life insurance benefit plans.
