Assistant Professor of Mathematics

Job Summary

The Department of Mathematics at Augusta University invites applications for a non-tenure track teaching Assistant Professor position. A Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or Mathematics Education is expected along with college-level teaching experience and strong teaching references. Teaching responsibilities for these positions will involve general education mathematics and statistics courses, mathematics education courses, dual enrollment classes, and potentially more advanced course(s).

Responsibilities

Teaching (80%): Teaching undergraduate mathematics and statistics is the primary duty of the faculty member

Research (10%): Faculty member is expected to stay current with their field

Service (10%): Faculty member is expected to contribute to the faculty governance of the department

Required Qualifications

Doctorate in Mathematics, Statistics, or related area with experience teaching at the college-level

Assistant Professor- Terminal degree or its equivalent in training, ability, and/or experience
