Position Overview
The Departments of Medical Imaging at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (SHSC) and the University of Toronto are recruiting a full-time Abdominal Radiologist. The successful candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto.
Sunnybrook is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and is home to The Odette Cancer Centre, providing a specialized comprehensive cancer program. The Tory Trauma Program (largest adult burns and level 1 trauma centers), Precision Diagnostics and Therapeutics Program, together with other specialized care programs, culminate in a busy clinical and academic Abdominal Imaging practice.
Four new clinical MRI scanners (two 1.5T and two 3.0T), four new clinical dual-energy CT scanners, one new clinical PET/CT, and a new fleet of US systems are now installed and operational. In addition, two dedicated research MRI systems and a research PET/MR are in place.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will participate in the clinical and academic activities of the Division of Abdominal Imaging at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, University of Toronto.
Clinical duties include:
- Multi-modality diagnostic abdominal and pelvic imaging.
- Image-guided non-vascular interventional procedures (organ biopsies and drainage).
- Participation in clinical research.
- Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
- Participation in out-of-hours call.
Sub-specialist expertise in Hepatopancreatobiliary, Gastrointestinal, Genitourinary and/or Obstetric Imaging is required.
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Hold an MD degree or equivalent.
- Be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Imaging by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), the American Board of Radiology, or an international equivalent.
- Be eligible for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
- Have completed Clinical Fellowship training in Abdominal Imaging.
- Demonstrate imaging scholarship suitable for a clinical academic appointment.
Academic Appointment
- Rank: Lecturer or Assistant Professor.
- Full-time clinical academic appointment at the University of Toronto.
Salary
Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Remuneration will be in the range of $300,000–$500,000, commensurate with the departmental compensation structure, academic rank, qualifications, and level of experience.
