POSITION: Assistant Coach, Men’s Lacrosse
Fairfield University is currently seeking a full-time assistant men’s lacrosse coach. In keeping with the University’s Jesuit mission and identity, candidates must be committed to the equity, welfare and sporting conduct of our student athletes. Fairfield University competes in the Colonial Athletic Association.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The assistant coach will assist the head coach with all aspects of a competitive Division I program, including: player development, practice organization, recruiting, game management, maintaining equipment, monitoring academic progress of student-athletes, coordinating team travel, and compliance with NCAA, CAA and institutional regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required. High level collegiate coaching experience or collegiate playing experience preferred. Candidates should possess outstanding technical, tactical and strategic knowledge of lacrosse. Strong leadership, interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to work with and relate well to a diverse group of athletes, administrators, and University constituents is a necessity. Preference given for offense and attack oriented applicants. Candidate should be proficient in all Microsoft office applications, gamebreaker, and basic video editing programs.
