Adjunct Job Description

Compensation: $38/hour

Position Summary: Seeking a CPR adjunct instructor to teach our one-day Heartsaver® CPR/AED/First Aid courses for students ages 14–16. The instructor will deliver hands-on training using the provided American Heart Association curriculum and help students develop the knowledge and confidence to respond appropriately in pediatric emergency situations.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with teenagers, creates an interactive learning environment, and can effectively teach lifesaving skills to youth participants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach a one-day Pediatric CPR course for students ages 14–16.
Deliver instruction in accordance with the provided American Heart Association (AHA) curriculum and course guidelines.
Demonstrate CPR techniques and supervise student skill practice.
Ensure a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
Maintain accurate attendance and course records as required.
Communicate professionally with program staff before and after scheduled classes.
Arrive prepared with a thorough understanding of the curriculum and instructional materials provided.
Follow all organizational policies and procedures related to youth programming.
Adhere to instructional timelines and guidelines and utilize college instructional technology.
Use only an FCC email account when conducting College business.
