About Vladislav

Vladislav Viktorovich Rimashevsky serves as Vice-Rector for Medical Work at Belarusian State Medical University. He holds a Doctor of Medical Sciences degree and the academic title of Associate Professor, awarded in 2011 following the defense of his Candidate of Medical Sciences dissertation in 2004. With 24 years of general medical experience and 19 years of scientific and pedagogical work, Rimashevsky is affiliated with the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimatology with a course in advanced training and retraining. His career commenced as an anesthesiologist-reanimatologist at the 4th City Clinical Hospital in Minsk from 1994 to 1998, including an internship in anesthesiology and reanimatology there in 1997-1998. From 2000 to 2002, he completed clinical residency at the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimatology of the Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. Since 2002, he has taught at the department, progressing to associate professor. Additionally, he holds the position of Chief Extramural Anesthesiologist-Resuscitator of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.

Rimashevsky's research focuses on anesthesiology, reanimatology, and intensive therapy, evidenced by over 250 citations on Google Scholar and publications such as 'Optimization of anesthesiological support during kidney transplantation' in the Belarusian Medical Journal (2004), contributions to modern perinatal medical technologies, anesthetic provision for abdominal delivery, and studies on Wernicke encephalopathy in pregnant women. He has presented at international congresses, including the 8th Eastern Congress of Intensive Care, the II Moscow Regional Congress 'Moscow Region Evenings. At the Origins of Life' on congenital hypofibrinogenemia and pregnancy, and forums on opiate use in clinical practice and cesarean section anesthesia. Within the university, he leads medical work initiatives, convenes meetings with department deputy heads, organizes republican seminars on medical rehabilitation and emergency care, and participates in student competitions as a jury member. His contributions have earned him multiple honorary letters from Minsk regional and city executive committees, the Ministry of Health, and others, along with the title of Honored Health Worker and the Medal 'For Labor Merits'.
