About Majid

Majid Saeedi is a Professor of Pharmaceutics in the Department of Pharmaceutics, Faculty of Pharmacy at Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences, Sari, Iran. He serves as Dean of the School of Pharmacy and is associated with the Pharmaceutical Sciences Research Center, Hemoglobinopathy Institute. Saeedi also holds the role of Director-in-Charge for the Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Research journal and Secretary of the University Research Ethics Committee. Saeedi's research specializations center on pharmaceutics, particularly advanced drug delivery systems such as niosomes, solid lipid nanoparticles, transdermal patches, and in situ gels for topical, transdermal, and cosmetic applications. His academic interests include nanotechnology in drug delivery, formulations for dermatological conditions like atopic dermatitis, androgenetic alopecia, acne, and wound healing, as well as antifungal and antioxidant preparations using natural compounds such as kojic acid, licorice gel, plant mucilages, and essential oils. He has produced over 316 publications, with significant impact evidenced by thousands of citations. Notable works include 'Kojic acid applications in cosmetic and pharmaceutical preparations' (2019), 'Applications of nanotechnology in drug delivery to the central nervous system' (2019), 'The treatment of atopic dermatitis with licorice gel' (2003), 'Correlation between sun protection factor and antioxidant activity, phenol and flavonoid contents of some medicinal plants' (2014), and 'SARS-CoV-2 antibody seroprevalence in the general population and high-risk occupational groups across 18 cities in Iran' (2021). His research has advanced therapeutic strategies in cosmetics, infectious diseases, and skin disorders, positioning him among the top 2% of scientists worldwide.
