Duquesne University is a private Catholic research university in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, founded by members of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit in 1878. It is named after an 18th-century governor of New France, Michel-Ange Duquesne de Menneville.
Duquesne University offers more than 85 undergraduate majors and 110 graduate programs across nine schools of study, covering fields such as business, education, health sciences, law, liberal arts, music, natural and environmental sciences, nursing, and pharmacy.
