I. About UCAS
The University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), (www.ucas.ac.cn), headquartered in Beijing, is a prestigious research university operating under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Adopting a distinctive “Research-Education Integration” model, UCAS combines the academic strength of CAS research institutions, a large faculty of leading scientists and access to top-tier research facilities to cultivate future leaders in science, technology and innovation.
UCAS’s main campus is located in the core area of the Beijing Huairou Comprehensive National Science Center, one of the world’s most concentrated hubs for major science and technology facilities. The center features 37 major science facilities spanning five scientific domains—matter, space, life sciences, earth systems and artificial intelligence. In close synergy with CAS research institutes, UCAS faculty are uniquely positioned to conduct groundbreaking interdisciplinary research to tackle major scientific challenges of global concern.
UCAS invites applications for multiple faculty positions in areas of artificial intelligence, quantum science and technology, space exploration and etc. We are seeking distinguished scholars who will teach at UCAS while conducting research at CAS institute platforms—focusing first on over 20 key areas. Early-career scientists worldwide are also invited to apply through UCAS for the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Excellent Young Scientists Fund Program (Overseas)–a prestigious national program supporting outstanding researchers returning to work in China.
