The Department of Biomedicine at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Aarhus University invites applications for a position as Tenure Track Assistant Professor per 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is a full-time position with a view to permanent employment as an associate professor.

Your job responsibilities

As a successful candidate you are expected to:

Conduct independent research of the highest international quality, including publication.
Teach, supervise, and examine Bachelor's and Master's students, and contribute to the supervision of PhD students, as appropriate.
Secure external research funding.
Develop and maintain collaborations with relevant national and international research environments.

Your competences

You have established independent research qualifications at a high international level. You are a clear communicator with documented experience in supervision and teaching at Bachelor's and Master's degree level and demonstrated potential for research leadership.

We expect you to be fluent in oral and written English. International applicants are expected to learn Danish, and Aarhus University arranges Danish teaching.

Terms of employment

The yearly base salary for a fulltime assistant professor is between DKK 493.394,35 and DKK 585.322,48 depending on the years of working experience after achieved MSc degree. The base salary includes a position related supplement and pension (18.07 %).
