The Master of Cancer Sciences is a fully online two-year part time course offered jointly by the University of Melbourne (UoM) and Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) Alliance. We require a Subject Matter Expert and Subject Coordinator in the Supportive Care and Palliative Care subject (specifically the Supportive Care section) to conduct a comprehensive review of this subject and to support a tutorial group of up to 25 online graduate students and guidance of the Teaching Assistant.
This will be a casual position, on an as-required basis during the Term 4, 2026 teaching period (12 October – 6 December).
What you will deliver:
- Review and refine learning outcomes to ensure they are clearly articulated, appropriately scaffolded, and aligned with course-level outcomes.
- Critically review subject content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with current cancer research best practice and relevant industry standards.
- Coordinate and deliver online teaching for the Supportive Care component of the Supportive Care and Palliative Care subject, fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment through webinars, discussion forums, student support and academic leadership.
- Assess and support student learning by facilitating critical thinking, marking assessments in accordance with University policies, and applying contemporary, reflective teaching practices to continuously enhance the student experience.
