The Department of Pediatrics is committed to providing superior and compassionate healthcare to all children. We strive to provide an education and training experience that fosters the next generation of national and international leaders in child health.
The department includes more than 130 full-time faculty members, clinical associates, and postdoctoral researchers.
UChicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital is a free standing 165 bed children's hospital with a full complement of pediatric services.
Position Overview
Appointees will join the Section of Hematology/Oncology, a multidisciplinary program which collaborates with:
- The Department of Surgery.
- The Department of Radiation Oncology.
- The University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center.
- Affiliated sites: Advocate Children’s Hospital, NorthShore University Health System.
The group is responsible for the diagnosis and management of children in the largest pediatrics program in the state of Illinois, the Chicagoland Children’s Health Alliance (CCHA).
Required Qualifications
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must have:
- Medical doctorate or equivalent.
- Hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois.
- Be Board certified or Board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
