Position Responsibilities: The Research Assistant will:

• Maintain mammalian cell cultures under BSL-2 conditions.
• Perform RNA and miRNA extraction, end-point, and quantitative PCR.
• Conduct flow cytometry and Western blot experiments and quantitative protein analysis.
• Perform mammalian cell transfections and gene knockdown/overexpression experiments using electroporation and Lipofectamine-based transfection.
• Assist with flow cytometry experiments and data analysis.
• Carry out molecular cloning and plasmid validation.
• Collect and analyze experimental data using different tools and platforms.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, databases and experimental documentation.
• Help supervise and mentor undergraduate researchers.
• Participate in laboratory meetings and contribute to manuscripts, conference presentations, and reports.
