The Accelerating Research to Commercialisation (ARC) Hub Programme aims to establish a new model for regional innovation and entrepreneurial training, that will catalyse a step-change in the translation of cutting-edge publicly funded research toward impact at a regional level. The ARC Hubs will enhance and accelerate the commercialisation of research to create new products, processes and services. The ARC Hub for ICT Programme is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union under two European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Regional Programmes - the Southern, Eastern and Midland Regional Programme 2021-2027 and the Northern and Western Regional Programme 2021-2027.
Funded by the ARC Hub for ICT Programme, the LEAP-LA team is seeking a passionate candidate to join as a research assistant. The successful candidate will contribute to frontier AI research while also engaging in an entrepreneurial journey in the field of Educational AI. The position is expected to be for a duration of 12 months.
LEAP-LA pioneers agentic AI solutions aimed at reframing learning experiences and advancing practices through learning agents. The team envisions an AI-native learning platform that delivers activities designed to elicit students’ thinking in action as they learn. In particular, LEAP-LA focuses on cultivating three essential skill domains: (1) storytelling and communication through debating agents; (2) reasoning and problem-solving through coding agents; and (3) social skills through humanoid agents.
Salary:
Research Assistant (Level 1):€34,130 p.a (1 point)
Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
