Function of Position:
Part Time instructors are responsible for implementing the LPN curricula, as provided by the MCC Healthcare Department. Instructors work in a variety of settings, including classrooms, simulation labs, hospitals, and clinics.
Healthcare programs are scheduled year-round, Monday - Saturday, as part of MCC's Corporate College non-credit open enrollment catalog. Classroom and simulation labs are located on the Downtown Campus. Clinical's are held at various approved locations in Rochester. Flexible work hours are required.
The part-time instructor reports to the Coordinator, LPN Program.
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
- Teach and supervise LPN students in a classroom, lab, or clinical setting
- Implement education programs for nursing students that align with course objectives in the MCC LPN Program.
- Teach and guide nursing students in carrying out patient assessments and developing care plans.
- Provide supervision and guidance to nursing students in the delivery of patient care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide the best experience for nursing students.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to enhance their learning and skills development.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Assist in the development of classroom and clinical policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
