The successful candidate will teach courses in the field of Cell and Molecular Biology and will coordinate the curriculum for the BIOL 302L (Cell and Molecular Biology Laboratory). The BIOL 302L Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all scheduled BIOL 302 lab sections over the course of the academic year (Fall and Spring semesters). The Coordinator is also responsible for training the GIAs (Graduate Instructional Assistants) that will be teaching the undergraduate labs each semester. Leading this training in pedagogical and molecular lab skills requires the Coordinator to hold weekly prep meetings to teach the GIAs about the upcoming week’s lab curriculum, sourcing all course materials for the week, and explaining how to successfully implement and execute the lab curriculum to their students. The BIOL 302L Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and/or developing new laboratory curriculum as the field evolves and maintaining equipment that is utilized in these teaching labs.

Required Education and Experience
Candidates must hold a minimum of a master’s degree in biology or a closely related field (or PhD candidates without a Master’s must be ABD) at the time of appointment. Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
