Graphic Designer, Florida Center for Nursing
The Graphic Designer is responsible for assisting with creating marketing communications tactics for traditional and digital media that are both individually distinctive and contribute to strengthening the umbrella brand at the USF System level. photographers and others to translate marketing and brand strategies into compelling communications that engage audiences cognitively and emotionally, driving measurable results. This position reports to Director of Communications and Marketing.
This position is primarily based at the USF campus in Tampa, with remote flexibility 1-2 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Brand Designer - Work closely with the Communications and Marketing team and collaborate with partners across the USF community, including copywriters, web developers, photographers, and others.
- Brand Strategist - Translate marketing and brand strategies into compelling communications that engage audiences cognitively and emotionally while driving measurable results.
- Creative Strategist - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design trends and communication strategies to interpret the College's needs and create solutions with strong visual impact.
- Brand Designer - Create marketing communication materials for both traditional and digital media that are distinctive and strengthen the College of Nursing brand under the USF umbrella.
- Graphic Designer - Combine art and technology to communicate ideas through images, website layouts, and printed materials.
- Graphic Designer - Utilize a variety of design elements to achieve artistic and visually engaging results.
- Graphic Designer - Produce a variety of materials for traditional and digital media platforms.
- Digital Asset Manager - Organization of visual assets such as photography, video footage, design files, logos, and branding guidelines.
- Content Strategist - Contribute to the fulfillment of campaign elements and communication initiatives.
- Content Strategist - Develop materials including print publications, magazines, packaging, social media content, and organizational identity materials.
- Content Creator - Support the college's provision of event coverage, headshots, and stock photos through photography.
- Creative Storyteller - Support the college's efforts to tell the story of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, and community, state, national, and global partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Technical Writing, Digital Media, or related field, with two years of experience in related positions; or a Master's degree in the fields listed above. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.
