Job Summary
The Nail Technology Instructor is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive Nail Technology program that provides students with a high-quality learning experience. This role prepares students for continued study within the Cosmetology pathway while equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue state board licensure/certification. Part-time Instructors perform instruction-related duties, and responsibilities in their respective areas of expertise at the College in accordance with the philosophy, policies, and procedures of the Colorado Community College System and Red Rocks Community College. This posting will be used to fill multiple part-time Instructor vacancies. Finalist must be willing to make Colorado their primary workplace, including for online courses.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and current state or national industry license or certification (i.e. current DORA-issued cosmetology license), or 24 semester hours of related post-secondary coursework
- 2,000-4,000 hours of verified occupational experience, or three (3) years full-time verified, licensed teaching experience
- Ability to obtain a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Authorization in Secondary CTE Skilled Trades & Technical Sciences Personal Care Services prior to first day of work
