The incumbent will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in:

• advanced diagnostic evaluation and management of uveitic disease;
• ocular imaging and ocular ultrasonography relevant to ocular inflammation;
• systemic immunomodulatory and immunosuppressive therapy for ocular inflammatory disease.

The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the continued growth and advancement of a high-volume tertiary/quaternary uveitis service within the Department. A minimum of approximately 2 days per week of dedicated uveitis-focused clinical activity will be expected, with participation in shared clinical service responsibilities, including after-hours care, as appropriate.

In addition, the incumbent will be expected to actively participate in all core missions of an academic ophthalmology department, including:

• clinical care;
• undergraduate, postgraduate, and fellowship education;
• clinical and/or translational research;
• scholarly dissemination and academic leadership.
