Job Summary
Adjunct Instructors provide instruction in assigned courses within their academic discipline. This is a part-time, pooled position filled on an as-needed basis depending on departmental teaching needs.
Essential Job Functions
- Teach courses at assigned times using current pedagogical methods, maintaining accurate records of student performance and grades.
- Maintain effective and timely communication with students, department chair, and other university personnel as appropriate.
- Other duties may be assigned to this position on a regular or occasional basis to respond to the needs of the university.
Minimum and Desired Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Applicants should hold a graduate degree in the relevant teaching discipline or a closely related field.
- Additional qualifications may be required depending on accreditation standards or departmental needs.
- Demonstrated expertise in the subject area.
- Commitment to teaching excellence.
Desired Qualifications:
- College or university-level teaching experience.
- Experience with online and technology-enhanced instruction.
