Job Summary
The Adjunct Learning Frameworks Instructor has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, classroom instruction and lab instruction. Assigned classes may occur during the day, evening, and/or online with varying teaching locations including on-campus, dual enrollment, and Early College High School. This position reports to LSCPA’s General Education and Developmental Studies Department.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide quality instruction
- Exhibit commitment and involvement in the development, implementation, and assessment of curriculum based on program, department and college goals and objectives
- Attend faculty meetings
- Maintain current knowledge, expertise, and safety in the subject areas of teaching responsibility along with broader higher education matters and trends
- Respond to students, faculty and staff in a timely and professional manner
- Comply with campus policies and procedures
- Other related duties, as assigned
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in the qualifying field, or a master’s degree with eighteen (18) semester credit hours in Psychology or Education
- Work independently in the classroom
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Possess time management and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Psychology or Education
- Teaching experience in higher education
- Teaching experience at a two-year college
Supplemental Information
Work Hours: Full time hours, Monday – Friday, with possibility of some evenings, depending upon class schedule
