Wendy Schuh serves as Assistant Professor and Undergraduate Applied Health Science Coordinator in the Department of Health Science within the College of Allied Health and Nursing at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She holds an Ed.D. in Health Professions from A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri; a Master of Arts in Health Promotion from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa; and a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science from Central College in Pella, Iowa. A Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES), Schuh has built an extensive career at Minnesota State University, Mankato since 2001. Her roles there include Alcohol and Drug Education Coordinator, Adjunct Faculty, Associate Director of Student Health Services, and Director of Student Health Services prior to her current faculty appointment. Before joining the university, she worked as a Community Tobacco Consultant for the Johnson County Department of Public Health and as an American Red Cross Workplace Instructor in Iowa City, Iowa.
Schuh's scholarly work includes publications on telepsychiatry and college student mental health services. Key contributions are the article "Telepsychiatry as a Solution for Mental Health Needs in College Health Centers," co-authored with Shreya Koirala and published in 2025 in the BioSocial Health Journal; "College Student Preferences of Telepsychiatry" in 2021; and her 2020 doctoral dissertation titled "Telepsychiatry Preferences Among College Students Diagnosed and Undiagnosed with a Mental Health Condition." She has also presented at conferences on "Alcohol and Tobacco: Promising Collegiate Reduction Strategies" in 2008 and "Did They See It? Did They Believe It? Did They Change? Results of a Health Promotion Campaign" in 2009. Schuh participates in grant-funded student health projects, such as the Healthy Mavericks Grant from the Minnesota Department of Human Services. She serves as the Allied Health and Nursing representative on the Faculty Development Committee, a Career Champion, and National Delegate for the Minnesota Society for Public Health Education.
