Wendy Finnie is a Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Primary Health Care (Dunedin) and Director of Clinician-Performed Ultrasound at the Centre for Rural Health, University of Otago, Faculty of Medicine. She holds professional qualifications RDMS, ASCT, and NZCS. In her academic roles, Finnie convenes GENA 717 CPU Echocardiography and co-convenes GENA 718 Generalist Medical Ultrasound, teaching ultrasound skills to undergraduate medical students and postgraduate clinicians. She practices as an Echocardiographer in Otago and leads ultrasound training programmes recognized as providers for the Certificate in Clinician Performed Ultrasound. Her work supports rural health practitioners through education and quality assurance in ultrasound applications.
