Dr. Vuk Radovic is a lecturer in the School of Design and the Built Environment, Faculty of Humanities, at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia. He holds the position of Course Coordinator for the Master of Architecture programme. As an Australian architect and urban designer, Radovic focuses his academic work at the intersection of environmental performance, construction innovation, urban design, and high-rise architecture. His research specifically examines the potential for supertall residential skyscrapers to transcend architectural singularity and evolve into urban multiplicities. Additionally, he investigates the uneasy historical relationship between skyscrapers and public space, advocating for radical reinvention in contemporary commercial skyscrapers in cities like New York and London.
Prior to and alongside his role at Curtin University, where he began supervising research students in August 2023, Radovic has taught architecture across programmes in Australia, China, and Japan at PhD, Master's, and undergraduate levels. He brings practical industry experience from projects across Asia and Europe. Radovic completed his PhD and maintains an active scholarly presence with ORCID iD 0000-0001-7034-4878. His key publications include the 2020 book chapter 'The skyscraper and public space: an uneasy history and the capacity for radical reinvention' in the Routledge Companion to Public Space, and 'A City in the Sky' published in 2021. These works contribute to discussions on urban morphology, with his research cited nine times across four publications. Radovic engages in the academic community as a member of the Oceania Network of Urban Morphology (ONUM), a track co-chair for the 2025 State of Australian Cities conference, and presenter of seminars such as 'The Thinking Skin: Designing Density through Performance' at the National University of Singapore Centre for Future-ready Graduates.
