About Vik

Professor Vik Naidoo serves as Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Sydney and is a faculty member of the University of Sydney Business School. He earned his PhD from Victoria University of Wellington, along with a Master of Commerce (Honours) in International Business. Naidoo studied at the University of Auckland, graduating as a Senior Scholar, and attended Harvard University. His academic career encompasses extensive leadership roles, including Program Director, Head of Department, Dean, Pro Vice-Chancellor, and Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor at institutions such as the University of Sydney, University of Auckland, Deakin University, Curtin University, and University of Canberra. At the University of Sydney, he held positions as Head of International Student Recruitment, Research Associate, and Chief Operating and Academic Officer at the United States Studies Centre.

Naidoo's research focuses on consumer behaviour, marketing strategy including big data applications, international business processes, and higher education marketing, particularly the student-as-consumer concept. He investigates micro-foundations of consumer responses to emerging technologies like AI chatbots, cultural contexts, and evolving service environments.
