About Victoria

Dr. Victoria H. Galloway serves as Clinical Associate Professor and Program Director of the Physician Associate Program at Berry College, a role she has held since 2023. She earned her Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) in Healthcare Leadership and Administration from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2022, Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPA) and Bachelor of Medical Science (BMS) from Mountain State University in 2004, and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from Mary Washington College in 2001. Galloway has been a certified physician assistant (PA-C) since 2004, delivering care in rural communities across southwest Virginia, northeast Tennessee, and West Virginia. Her clinical expertise encompasses emergency medicine, where she worked with Team Health/ECC and American Physicians Partners from 2004 to 2019; pediatrics at Mountain View Pediatrics from 2008 to 2009; inpatient internal medicine as a hospitalist with Bristol Consultants in 2006; and volunteer primary care at Mel Leaman Free Clinic since 2017.

Transitioning to PA education in 2017, Galloway served as Director of Clinical Education and Principal Faculty (Clinical Assistant Professor) at Emory & Henry College School of Health Sciences, and later as Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Education at Hawai’i Pacific University College of Health & Society. In these positions, she led clinical phase development, accreditation efforts, self-assessment, and student progression. She chaired key committees including Student Progression, Curriculum, Policy and Procedures, and founded the PA Program Inclusion & Diversity Committee at Emory & Henry. Additionally, she has been adjunct faculty for the Doctor of Medical Science Program at Rocky Mountain University. At Berry, she oversees program administration, curriculum, faculty coaching, clinical site development, and fosters a student-centered culture. Her research interests include emotional intelligence in physician assistant student training and antibiotic overuse, stemming from her MSPA capstone. Galloway is active in the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Physician Assistant Education Association, Georgia Academy of PAs, and Pi Alpha Honor Society. She contributes to community service through Southwest Virginia Medical Reserve Corps, guest presentations at Sullins Academy, and as host/moderator for 'Doctor in the House' medical outreach television series. Her teaching interests cover emergency medicine, rural medicine, PA history, professionalism, and ethics in medicine.
