Dr. Thomas Timmerman is Professor of Business Management and holds the W.E. Mayberry Chair of Excellence while serving as Chairperson of the Department of Decision Sciences and Management in the Business & Economics faculty at Tennessee Technological University. He earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Tulane University and a B.A. in Psychology from Furman University. Timmerman teaches a range of courses including Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Human Resource Management, and Staffing, equipping students with essential knowledge in management principles, group dynamics, employee development, and talent acquisition.
Timmerman's research specializations include workplace aggression, leadership experience and its effects on team performance, personality influences in organizations, and diversity dynamics. His publications have appeared in prominent journals such as the Journal of Applied Psychology and the Journal of Organizational Behavior.
