Dr. Steve Banks is the Drug Control and Training Development Officer at the Animal Welfare Office, University of Otago, located in the Eccles Building, Dunedin. In this capacity, he oversees drug control and training development for animal welfare compliance across research activities. He also serves as the Departmental Health and Safety Officer for the Animal Welfare Office within the Health Sciences Division. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Dr. Banks managed a high volume of health and safety queries related to biological compliance from various parts of the University, addressing numerous questions efficiently.
