Siobhan Walsh, OTD, OTR/L, BCPR, is the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and Clinical Professor in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program at Wagner College, joining the institution in March 2023. Prior to her academic appointment, she spent ten years in hospital settings as an occupational therapist and rehabilitation manager, accumulating clinical experience since 2012 across acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and home-based services. Walsh specializes in adult neurorehabilitation, addressing conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cognitive impairments, perceptual deficits, and visual rehabilitation. She leads the development of the fieldwork program and curriculum in Wagner College's developing entry-level OTD program, contributing to the preparation of future occupational therapists through hands-on experiential learning opportunities.
Walsh holds a Master of Science degree in occupational therapy from the University of Scranton, earned in 2011, and a post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Mary Baldwin University in 2021. Board Certified in Physical Rehabilitation, her teaching areas encompass neurological conditions, cognitive, perceptual, and visual rehabilitation, as well as leadership and mentorship. Her scholarly passions include occupational therapy intervention selection in neurorehabilitation, peer mentorship models, clinical leadership, and academic leadership. She is a co-author on the publication 'Quantifying Imposter Phenomenon in OT,' which appeared in The American Journal of Occupational Therapy in 2025 and surveyed the prevalence of imposter phenomenon among occupational therapists, analyzing demographic differences. Passionate about student and staff growth in clinical and academic settings, Walsh supports the advancement of occupational therapy education and practice.
