Dinesh Sangarran Ramachandram is a Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia, within the Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He obtained a BPharm in Pharmacy from SRM Institute of Science and Technology and an MSc in Pharmacy from Universiti Sains Malaysia, and is pursuing a Doctorate by Research from Monash University Malaysia. His career encompasses roles as a Clinical Pharmacist, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Executive, and engagements with the Malaysian Qualifications Agency and Ministry of Higher Education. He coordinates the Professional Practice IV unit (PHR2012), embedding Evidence-Based Medicine in the curriculum, and teaches clinical pharmacy units such as Comprehensive Care: Respiratory and Gastrointestinal (PHR2041), focusing on acute and comprehensive patient care.
Ramachandram's research specializations include Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacy Practice, Digital Health, Evidence-Based Medicine, Medication Management, Dementia, Substance Use, Integrative Medicine, Public Health, and Pharmacy Education, aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goals like Good Health and Well-being, Quality Education, Industry Innovation and Infrastructure, Reduced Inequalities, and Partnerships for the Goals. His accolades include the Merdeka Award Grant for International Attachment (2025), Alzheimer’s Disease International Travel Bursary Award (2024), EduTECH Asia Awards Finalist for Outstanding Industrial Collaboration (2025), DOCQUITY External Funding (2024), and International Medical University Research Grant (2023). He contributes as Executive Committee member of the Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation Malaysia, Internal Auditor for the Association of Integrative Medicine Malaysia, and Network Member of the South East Asia Dementia Research Network, organizing workshops on pharmacy automation and dementia care.
