Rosie Hallett is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Section for Occupational Therapy at City St George's, University of London. She also holds the position of Divisional Lead for Occupational Therapy, as indicated in the university's Senate documents regarding assessment board chairs and feedback turnaround times in 2025. In these roles, she provides leadership within the Centre for Allied Health, part of the Institute of Medical, Biomedical and Allied Health Education. The Centre oversees allied health programmes, including BSc and MSc Occupational Therapy, where staff teaching is informed by professional expertise. Hallett's contributions support the education of future occupational therapists through undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Prior to the institutional merger, Rosie Hallett served as Senior Lecturer in Occupational Therapy at the Kingston University and St George's University of London collaborative programme, commencing in January 2019. Her career encompasses clinical practice as an occupational therapist, with training completed at the West Midlands School of Occupational Therapy from 1988 to 1991. She obtained a Master's Degree in Autism Studies from the University of Kent between 2015 and 2017. Hallett has engaged in national guideline development as a committee member for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) on 'Disabled children and young people up to 25 with severe complex needs' (NG213), offering occupational therapy perspectives. Furthermore, she has supported the Royal College of Occupational Therapists by participating in workforce surveys to influence the profession's future direction. With more than two decades of experience, her work bridges clinical practice, education, and policy in occupational therapy.
