Dr. Qian Hui Ting is a Lecturer and Discipline Lead for the Management, Human Resource Management, and Bachelor of Business Administration programs in the Department of Management and Marketing, Faculty of Business at Curtin University Malaysia. She holds a PhD in Business and an MPhil in Management, both obtained from Curtin University Malaysia. Throughout her academic career, she has been actively involved in teaching management-related courses and supervising postgraduate research students in business disciplines.
Her research focuses on the future of work, work design, job demands-resources theory, and occupational well-being, with particular emphasis on organisational behaviour, human resource development, remote e-working impacts on job performance, psychological capital, employee engagement, and toxic leadership. Key publications include 'What determines customers' loyalty towards telecommunication service? Mediating roles of satisfaction and trust' (International Journal of Services, Economics and Management, 2020); 'Psychological capital and employee engagement as predictors of organisational citizenship behaviour in the industrial revolution 4.0 era: transfer of training as a mediator' (Current Psychology, 2023); 'The Shadow of Leadership: Examining the Prevalence of Toxic Leadership in Malaysia' (2025); 'Emerging From the Shadows: Follower Experience, Psychological Harm, and the Desire for Change Under Toxic Leadership in Malaysia' (Journal of Cultural Analysis and Social Change, 2025); and 'Hardiness as a Shield: A Moderated Mediation Model of Turnover Intention among Auditors' (Employee Responsibilities and Rights Journal, 2023). Her PhD thesis, titled 'The Role of Psychological Capital and Employee Engagement in Determining Organisational Citizenship Behaviour in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 Era: Transfer of Training as a Mediator,' was completed in 2020. Qian Hui Ting contributes to faculty governance as a member of the Learning and Teaching Committee and the External Engagement Committee. She has moderated the Global Business Seminar 2025 on US tariffs and global economic impacts, coordinated academic excellence bootcamps for new students, and participated in student experience initiatives.
