Namita Pathak (Ghorpade), also referred to as Namita T. Pathak, is a Professor and Head of the Department of Community Health Nursing at Sadhu Vaswani College of Nursing, Pune, Maharashtra, India. She obtained her M.Sc. in Nursing in 2009 from Bombay Hospital College of Nursing. With 15 years of teaching experience exclusively in nursing education, she has been a key faculty member contributing to the training of B.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, and M.Sc. Nursing students at the institution affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.
Her research focuses on community health nursing topics, including emergency preparedness, government health schemes in tribal areas, and national healthcare transformations. Key publications co-authored by her include "Effectiveness of Trauma Training Programs for Emergency Department Nurses: A Systematic Review" (2025), "Challenges in Implementing Government Health Schemes in Tribal Areas: A Comprehensive Review" (2025), "Ayushman Bharat Transforming Rural Healthcare and Disease Prevention" (2024), and "A Comprehensive Review" on healthcare topics (2025). Namita Pathak actively engages in professional activities, serving as a resource person and speaker at continuing professional development programs, such as the CPD on Geriatric Care at Symbiosis College of Nursing (2026) and events at Bombay Hospital College of Nursing. She participates in faculty-led initiatives like student visits to old age homes, Sahyog Old Age Home, and CAP Digital centers. Additionally, she contributes to co-curricular events including TNAI Fashion Innovation, outdoor and indoor sports, cultural programs, and the general body meeting of the Student Nurses Association at Sadhu Vaswani College of Nursing. As HOD, she leads efforts in community health nursing education, fostering student involvement in health schemes and public health awareness.
