Dr. Monique Lewis is a communication and sociology scholar and a senior lecturer in media and communication at Griffith University, based in the School of Humanities, Languages and Social Science on the Gold Coast campus. She serves as Program Director for Creative and Professional Writing, overseeing programs such as the Graduate Certificate in Creative and Professional Writing. Her research spans media and communication, health communication, the sociology of health and medicine, representations of health issues in news media, risk, medicinal cannabis, endometriosis, and COVID-19.
