Moira Suttie is a Senior Administrator in the Academic Division at the University of Otago, based in Dunedin within the Student Experience department. She supports academic operations and student-related administrative functions. In 2025, she was a member of the Project DOUG and AVA team, led by Louise Ross and Kitty Higbee, alongside Kylie Davies, Finn Butler, Nadeeka Perera, and Lachlan Graham. She co-authored 'Private collective self-esteem and positive and negative forms of discrimination' in the Australian Journal of Psychology (2008, volume 60, issue 1, page 47), with Jill Hayhurst, John A. Hunter, and others. She led the chapter 'Intergroup Discrimination: The Positive Negative-Asymmetry Effect (PNAE) and Private Collective Self-Esteem' in the Handbook on the Psychology of Self-Esteem (Nova Science Publishers, 2014), co-authored with John A. Hunter, Mike Banks, Sarah Kafka, and Jill Hayhurst. Additionally, she co-authored 'Negative intergroup discrimination and private collective self-esteem' in the Handbook on Psychology of Self-Esteem (2012), with John A. Hunter, Kerry S. O'Brien, Scott Davidson, Mike Banks, Sarah Kafka, and Maurice Stringer. These publications examine associations between private collective self-esteem and positive and negative intergroup discrimination.
