Mariah Hill serves as Assistant Clinical Professor in Nursing at Montana State University’s Missoula campus and Graduate Campus, with a key role in Health Science through nurse-midwifery education and practice. She is the Program Lead for the Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse-Midwifery track at the Mark and Robyn Jones College of Nursing (MRJCON). Dr. Hill earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.) from the University of Washington in 2017, Associate Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) from Wenatchee Valley College in 2013, and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Seattle University in 2004. Certified as a Nurse-Midwife (CNM), Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), and Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C), she brings comprehensive qualifications to her academic and clinical endeavors.
After graduating with her D.N.P., Mariah Hill worked in a high-risk perinatal practice in Missoula, building expertise in maternal health care. Since 2022, she has taught in both the graduate and undergraduate nursing programs at MRJCON. In her ongoing part-time clinical position at Missoula Women’s Healthcare, she delivers primary care to women and postpartum mental health care. Dr. Hill emphasizes person-centered and trauma-informed care, along with respect for the physiology of pregnancy and birth. Her leadership of MSU’s nurse-midwifery DNP program—the first rooted in Montana—aims to prepare graduates to enhance maternal and infant health outcomes statewide. Specializing in nurse-midwifery, primary care for women, and perinatal mental health, she addresses critical needs in reproductive health services.
