Marche Bantum is a Lecturer in the School of Law and Criminology at Murdoch University. He holds a Bachelor of Laws with Distinction and a Bachelor of Arts, both awarded by Murdoch University. Bantum was admitted as a lawyer in Western Australia in October 2019 and joined the Australian Taxation Office as a graduate in January 2019. His earlier professional appointments include serving as a Student Centre Assistant at Murdoch University from 2015 to 2019, Research Associate at HodgkinsonJohnston from 2017 to 2018, and Law Clerk at Nova Legal from 2013 to 2014. These roles equipped him with practical insights into legal practice, taxation, and administrative support within educational and legal environments.
In his current position, Marche Bantum actively engages in teaching and unit coordination within law and criminology programs. He is the unit coordinator for BRD205 Crime through the Ages across multiple teaching periods and campuses, including the Singapore campus. Additionally, he has created reading lists for MBL501 Human Resource Management Law and is associated with unit guides for BSL305, BSL202 Workplace Law, BSL204 Tourism and Hospitality Law, and related courses. Through these contributions, Bantum supports student learning in core areas of business law, employment relations, tourism law, and historical perspectives on crime.
