About MAGID

Magid Fahim is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Queensland and Consultant Nephrologist at Princess Alexandra Hospital. He earned his MBChB with Distinction from the University of Otago, a PhD from the University of Queensland, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). Fahim has held his academic appointment at the University of Queensland since at least 2007 and serves as a clinical trialist with the Australasian Kidney Trials Network.

His research specializes in cardiovascular disease in chronic kidney disease patients, including diagnostic, monitoring, and treatment advancements. Key areas include perioperative outcomes and risk in dialysis patients undergoing surgery, peritonitis in peritoneal dialysis, kidney transplant fluid management, and cardiac biomarker variation in dialysis.
